Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican-born musician born into a musical family. The music she grew up with was traditional Boleros from the past as well as the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana enjoys tangos operas and other dramatic performances. Her mother teaches her how to sing, however she started more intense training in vocals through Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when he was a renowned Mexican opera tenor. The training in music continued at the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Then, she enrolled in The School of Sacred Music of Toluca. While a student, and being a young professional within Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles and choirs. After 2000, she emigrated into America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007 she moved to her new home in Southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. Ana is involved in a variety of local organizations in both teaching and performer, because of her enthusiasm of music and art. Ana was a former participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to have the opportunity to be able to share her love for traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will help younger generations keep the tradition alive.
