Madhuri dixit Madhuri dixit, an Indian actress famous for Hum Aapke Hing Koun (Beta Saajan) and Beta Saajan is among the most well-known Indian actors. The actress began her career in the 1980s and came to popularity with her role in the Tezaab film, in which she was a part of the cast with an established actor Anil Kapoor. Next, she appeared with Aamir as part of Dil. Early on, as a child growing up in the middle class of Mumbai, she started to dance. While still a teenager she tried her hand at acting, however most of her early movies were unsuccessful. She found fame and became one of India's leading film actresses. Following her wedding was over, she took a few months away from performing prior to returning. Recently, she had in a crucial character in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the struggle of women across India. Dixit was nominated 15 times to win Filmfare Awards. She won eight of these. Padma Shri - the fourth most prestigious civilian award of India - was given to Dixit. Her fame is based on her social works as well.
